That thing right in front of the camera, that goes out second? That's the very topic of this thread...an FLU419!

The windshield is protected by cardboard, and the FOPS may have been removed, but the work lights and Schmidt FL4 are unmistakable.

I wonder who "won" this one at auction?
I am pretty sure my first Flu, with the non-op transmission, had been used for sling or airdrop practice as it had tape marking points showing the CG, and front and rear weights. Too bad I sold off the loader, or I would see if it had those numbers on the loader arms.

What surprised me is that they still make them. Or are they used/NOS?
And you must've done some rewiring to separate the blinker from the brake light.
We purchased them new. They always listed as Manufacturer: Hella 2SD001685-211 Diameter 5,5 inch. For use on Mercedes LP- Typ 1969-77 for example.
That´s right, we seperate the blinker. In my memory i take the turn signal line from the fuse box and use the black out lines to go to the rear light.

Edit: Perhaps I used the turn signal line as it is and go from the brake switch to the black out line to get the power at the rear.?! Sorry I will get the front hood off to come into mind.

Is that a replacement operator's seat on the backhoe station? I need to change out that seat on both my SEEs
Did you already forget about those seats from Surplus Center? As I recall they were about $20 a piece, which is why I bought two...shipping on one would've doubled its price.
And, no, I haven't tried to install one yet. It's four bolts, how hard could it possibly be, even if the pattern doesn't match?

Air drops don't ALWAYS go so good.

I wonder if that FLU made out OK?!

Today we got the rear wheels back. Pic of the vertical tire mashine, sorry without a wheel.tirechange 054.jpg
We changed the oil from the wheel gears as we find out (after years) it is easy without the wheel.;)tirechange 058.jpgtirechange 057.jpg
After all we are satisfied done some work in front of the next meeting. In about 10 days we go for excarvating in a gravel pit .
 
Well, I got her running again (after nearly two weeks). It was all about those copper crush washers. I ended up cleaning and lightly sanding both faces of each one, replacing a few with deep nicks.

When the engine finally caught, it was obvious that the leaks were gone. Runs like a champ now!
