Truck was in a local parade. 53rd annual Memorial day. The local club was there, we had a great turnout, I bet around 12 trucks. Old to new. GREAT crowd turnout, and unfortunately no picts of them. Did a BBQ afterwards, and put it away before the rain hit.

Wife and I went to Paw Paw WV Memorial Day car show and parade . The Parade committee awarded us 3rd place best appearing pretty cool considering we had to drive on dirt roads to get there and didn't wipe the truck down like everybody else did . image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Happy Friday fellow SS'ers! I took a crapshoot yesterday and bought a pair of these KILLER looking military surplus LED lights for my 5 ton. There are 100 LED's in each unit, so I'm guessing they are REALLY bright. There are no markings on them whatsoever, no brand name, model, nothing at all. They appear to have standard military plugs, so I'm assuming they're 24v. Also came with a pigtail connector with a funky triangular plug. Any input? Mucho appreciado!!

They are crappy! Send them to me and I will dispose of then for you. LOL Great find you got there. I have no information on them at all. But can't wait to see them installed.

Working on extensions for the sides of my M929A2. It came with a nearly complete troop seat setup that had taken a hit. Looked like trash in the bed but I found most of a troop seat, (3) bows and a canvas top, which got cleaned and put away. I used the uprights and cut to fit plates that will bolt to wood. The bows still fit into those uprights, giving me the option to use the top and not have to change the board extensions. A spacer will go into the tubes that raises the top bows up about 10" to have more headroom.

The wood is being cut from telephone poles to 1 1/2" thick x 10". I expect to use carriage bolts. Will post pic when done.

A friend with a Wood miser set up to cut 25' has it at my place.

I had a collection of poles and he got a bunch from recent line upgrades. Even the slabs of the heavy tar ends have use as fence boards. Great wood is underneath! We're cutting 2 that are about 18" and making a couple of (same size) beams after we get the boards I want. Nothing (or very little) wasted.

If I remember correctly, 23 is one of the wires to the rear tail lights (right side I think?), I saw it when I was pulling my tail lights off yesterday. Did it say at all what it is for? The white tag looks like it says GND, not sure what the red one says.

They look like they would make some great backup lights!

I wouldn't just assume 24v. Some of the newer vehicles only use 24v for starting and 12v for everything else. They might be multivolt but it's just a guess until you find out who made them. Grote, Trucklite and JW Speaker mark all their lights so most likely not them. Ibis Tek and a few others that aren't dedicated to lighting don't mark the lights themselves.

The male connector is Ground and the two female connectors are Positives. The top and bottom row is white and the middle row will probably be IR. They will most likely be a flood pattern given the way the smallish reflectors are designed.

I saw some in a picture of a vehicle a good while back but that's all I remember. Can't find the picure or remember the vehicle now. It'll come back to me at some point...

The wire tags look like truck lite.

Replaced my governor with a Bendix brand one. I was having excess compressor cycle time. Replaced the Double Check Valve # 7 (PN # 278614) behind the drivers step on the fuel tank end. KN23000 is on the opposite end of the valve. This allows the parking brake valve and the spring brake tank to fill up with air. Added a passengers seat. Best I could come up with while still retaining the stock battery box. I just have to unbolt the 4 bolts in the seat and set it out whenever I want to get into the box. Seat is the middle seat of an LMTV.

Also sprayed some flex seal on some air lines that are cotton wrapped that had small leaks. It works well.
