Interior Dome Light?

Still very new to the LMTV and discovering things every day.

What kind of interior dome light or courtesy lights have you added to your vehicles to make them easier to use at night?

I bought an LED one off of amazon and wired it up. It's SUPER bright. Don't mind the selfie, it's to show how bright the light is. Careful driving with the drivers side light on. it may blind you.

I'm needing to do one in mine now that the sun is going down I'm looking at a door jam switch so the light powers up when the door is opened

I like the light but I think it's a bit too bright. Maybe something with a more warm (yellow) tone and dimmable would be great.

The switch option I want would be the same as the old dodge trucks or chevys they complete the circuit to ground when the door is open. They seem to be hard to come by now days though.

Why not use the light fixture from armored vehicles that is a light blue/green or a bright white light @ the touch of a switch & is 24v to match the vehicle? You can set power to the door switch if you like & then select the light you want. I have a few NIB ones that I have put in the Deuces or the LMTV.

Check out the one I put in mine complete with door switches. I also put in a 3-way switch to turn it on or work with the door switches. Works great.

I've been working on some LED dome lights with red lenses that will be 3D printed. I bought the LED panels off eBay (search: 2Pcs White 36-COB LED Panel HID Bulb Car Vehicle Interior Map Dome Door Light), and I'll design up a housing for them that fits in the holes in the roof. Hopefully I can finish it up now that the weather is getting colder.

I bought the LED panels off eBay (search: 2Pcs White 36-COB LED Panel HID Bulb Car Vehicle Interior Map Dome Door Light), and I'll design up a housing for them that fits in the holes in the roof. Hopefully I can finish it up now that the weather is getting colder.

That sounds worth the wait.

I went with the armored dome light in my deuce. it comes with a white and a blue lens.

This is the type of light fixture I have, but it has a white case instead of green. The bluish green light is dim & the white light is much brighter, but not blinding. They work very well.

If you really want to go all out, look for a "Eltam military light" on a certain popular internetworked place where people buy used things.
