Numbers on underside of hood.

Anyone know what the numbers (NG006U) on the bottom side of my hood mean.

The government issued identification number for that truck. Has nothing to do with the VIN, just for the government to keep track of the truck! Think of it as a permanent tag number for that truck that stays with the truck till removed from the military.

Does it tell me where it was stationed? Or deployed? Trying to learn the history of my truck. That and the tags on the dash are all I have.

Not really going to provide much info from just that number . Keep a eye out for the 2018 VIN info thread member Bikeman just closed the 2017 VIN info thread last week , nut he indicated he was going to start another one in late january . He has access to some army records on turn in . Look for the 2017 thread and see what information you will need .
