Does anybody have the part number for the rotor in a CUCV M1009 alternator? or have a web site that sells the rotor? mine is open and needs to be replaced. Thanks Dave J.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
That is a prestolite number.PN 79517, from the TM -34P. Seem to be readily available online.
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=79517+rotorI don't seem to find anything with that number.
Could you please share where/how you found the NSN, there is a picture of the rotor on Ebay with the NSN, but I'd doubt that's your source. Thank you. That is a prestolite number.

Doghead, I've been working on my search skills with Parttarget and have had a 50-50 result . Could you maybe do a tutorial on using it at some point ?Sure, the website. Parttarget.
You can search by nsn or manufacturers part number.
So, I put in the part number, and got the nsn and all its info.
Also listed in the info is the item end use(what it's used on). In this case the rotor you shared is used on the M1010 which is not the correct alternator(or rotor) for an m1009.
