Hey guys, I just got an 804... downloaded all the TMs but I cannot find what the “Battle Short” switch does... any help with it or if you can point me to the TM page that would be helpful.

thanks all!

Battleshort (sometimes "battle short") is a condition in which some military equipment can be placed so it does not shut down when circumstances would be damaging to the equipment or personnel.

You may need to use it for start up and then turn it off. I was taught to turn it on to prime the fuel pump start then turn off.

Was there a procedure to use this mode in combat?

Was it only used if the set shut down due to a problem to get and keep it running?

Just curious since it came up here.
