Hey Guys,
What was this shackle (PART NUMBER 12342354) use for on the M998 Air Life Bumper? Also why is there only one on the bumper not two and why is it shifted to one side??

the hmmwv has two rear shackles, it is just not shown on that parts diagram.

Yep there is one on each side. They are shifted to the outside because they go all the way through the bumper and would hit the frame rail end.

There are 2 different bumpers. The older style take the same shackle as the front and has no large hole. The A2 bumper has a large hole for the tear drop style shackle.

I have the castle nuts only for the tear drop if needed.

The first pic shows the A2 bumper with the older set up. The older set up is cheaper and easier to find. The tear drops are scarce & awful proud of them

Option 2 rattles a lot more.
