As much as I hate to post this, the Friday Night BBQ convoy to my house will not be possible this year. My knee exploded a couple weeks ago and surgery is scheduled for April 4th, it will just be too much to be ready for the convoy. There will be an ad-hoc convoy for lunch and trail riding over to Uharrie, headed up by another who is stepping in for me. We'll be back at next year!

I've been hearing about this legendary BBQ for a couple of years. I finally think I have coming worked out then this. Gheesh. All you need is some lag bolts and gate hinges.

First thing, someone who gets there early please mark the MKT location Thanks in advance.
Just talked to Denton Farm Park
Camping 1 tent on a site
primitive $15/day
water/electric $30/day for 30 amp, $40/day for 50 amp
they have a few full hookups scattered 30 and 50 amp +$10/day
They have 5 dump stations around the park, they are free to use
Event admission single day $10, whole event $15
vendor sites
10' X 20' $50, 20' X 40' $100

A couple things for the new guys
Wednesday is the first day you can be on site
most people in our group set up camp in the older area of the campground (through the gate to the left) it is not organized into campsites very well just outlets and spigots randomly placed in the woods and not always together.
This is usually Denton's first event of the year, so if there is an issue ( water leak, no hot water, electrical outlet doesn't work) please let them know nicely they have ALWAYS been Johnny on the spot taking care of any issue that arises
!!!NO CAMPFIRES DIRECTLY ON THE GROUND!!! if you want a fire at your campsite bring an elevated fire pit, also we have a communal fire that every one is welcome to gather at.
Do Not try to pay Jim with $50's and don't ask why!

dinner, BBQ chicken breast, macaroni salad, corn
Saturday
breakfast, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns,
Lunch, hamburgers , slaw, baked beans, chips
Dinner, Low country boil
Sunday
breakfast, pancakes, link sausage
Lunch if I can get a little help loading up I will fix anything left.

Menu changed to reflect convoy changes

Meals will be $5 Each except Saturday dinner $7 child under 12 with adult $3 a meal

Sorry to hear it, but sometimes things happen that are beyond our control.

I do hope that you will be able to make an appearance at least.

OK guys we're a month out time to get serious,

  2. Route planned, some of the routes going to Denton pass thru some rural areas cell service may be sketchy at best advise knowing route in advance

Just so first timers don't get the wrong impression it doesn't cost a lot to attend but most of the vendors don't take plastic and I would hate for you to miss out on all the bargains to be had.
