Steel soldiers battery help needed.jpg
Guys, This is my battery box (M-915-A1). I hit a bad bump and it has put me up a creek. The mechanic I called thought we found the problem with a shorted out front turn signal. That fixed now the truck won't turn over. Pushing the start button just buries the needle to the left of the volt gauge. I was wondering if he didn't quite get the cable routing right thus the dead truck. Upon looking at the schematics I found here, there are a few cables I have that don't show up as standard. Any help would be appreciated. PS, You can enlarge the photo by clicking it. Thanks.

Has the mechanic verified the batteries are good? A big bump could have broken a lead plate in a battery causing it not to pass enough current to engage the starter. In my experience of trucks that simply drop the voltmeter instead of engaging the starter when attempting to crank, a jump start does the trick most everytime. I'm not quite sure on the wiring of an M915 series truck but I believe I read before that some of the wiring is 12V and the starter is 24V which is why you have small leads coming off of the front batteries.

Get that metal shielded cable out of the battery area. Thats a short circuit waiting to happen.
That is a loom cover that is covered in dust that makes it look like metal
