OK. Thanks and sorry. If somebody has the right part number, please post it. I have tried to look, but it se ms the alternators were installed at the truck plants, not the engine plants, so that means it will be a Kenworth, Freightliner, etc part number, not a Cummins. But Cummings may have had to use one on stationary applications such as generators, etc....

Kicking this thread back up. I have found these three brackets when I run searches through a number of different websites. They all appear to have the same basic dimensions and bolt patterns. Does anyone know if they will mate up to the the lower alternator bolt holes on the NHC250?

The 8971467 definately will not work on an NHC250. I've had that one in my hands when I was swapping to a 33si alternator. The bolt pattern for the block is not even close. The other 2 you have pictured appear to use the same bolt pattern as the 8971467, so I would say they won't work either.

What alternator are you trying to install?

I am looking at a 33si. It's an M809-series install.

I'm sure the block holes are the same between the NHC250s in the M809 and M939 series trucks. I don't know whether the external stuff like the bracket itself, spacing and location of other items is the same though. On an M939, it basically only required sliding the bracket all the way forward, enlarging a couple of holes to 1/2" and welding in a couple of 1/4" wall spacers. Mine has been going strong for 4 years now.

Even with the differences between the models, you might find some useful ideas in my install thread for an M939 truck. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?155692-M939-NHC250-Delco-Remy-33si-Alternator-Upgrade

N14 and big cam alternators bolt holes are different and set in a different spot than the small cam.
Check the thread "voltage overcharging" a member near me just did his on his M818. Its not any different than a 939
