Glow plug removal

I need some advice. Three of the glow plugs on my 6.5 are stuck. Not the normal swollen stuck. But the threads are actually seized in the block. What do y’all recommend for the best way to remove them. If I apply more torque I’ll shear them off.

Can you squeeze a battery impact driver in there? That impact action tends to loosen things better than raw torque.

The impact sheared them off. So now cylinders 3&5 will need to be drilled and extracted. I don’t have a problem doing it. It’s just a little more work. I’m going to remove the injectors and have a vacuum to pull any shavings that might get in the cylinder out. The vacuum will be on the whole time I’m drilling. Shouldn’t be too bad. I have some high speed 90deg drills with threaded diamond bits. They ought to make quick work of the glow plug. Then a little heat with an inductor to break the remains free. At least I hope it’ll work that well. If all else fails I’ll pull the head.
