Is there a way to know what kind of service my truck performed by these numbers.i think it would be neat to know but I also will not be devastated if it is not easy to research. And I guess that one day when I repaint the truck it would help me decide if I will paint it to match its historical use or if I will just paint it one single shade of green.

99th Regional Readiness Command of the US Army Reserve. Appears to be deactivated. Appears to have been deployed Iraq war. MT typically means maintenance. The NK02HT is the Army registration number, equivalent to a license plate, unfortunately that number does not show up in the database, there are other trucks a few digits off, is yours a 1972 with VIN 525265XX?

Sure in the usual location near the forward spring hanger on the front axle driver side.

That's your VIN, for sure your truck is a 1972, but your VIN number or the NK02HT is not in the database unfortunately.
