MRAP tires

I purchased my truck with MRAP 390 radial tires on it. What you fellow owners of such M35's with these tire / wheel combinations running in the way of tire pressure. Obviously any DOT compliant tire has the serial number with date of manufacture and max fill at max gross psi rating on it but what do you run for the normal truck with empty bed? I want to adjust mine for the best ride that you can get from the truck but do not want to harm the tires by under inflation. Jiim

What kind of tires do you have?

I’ve got Goodyear MVT 395s. I’m comfortable in the 60-70 psi range with an empty truck.

I’ve read other posts where guys swear by lower tire pressures (~30psi). I tried that not long after getting my truck and it scared me. There was too much give in the tires. I hit a pot hole with 30-35 psi and my truck bounced into another lane. Fortunately there were no cars there or I would have caused a wreck. Ever since then, I’ve been running 60-70 psi with no issues.

One Michelin XZL tire is rated weight capacity wise as the same weight of the whole deuce. Running them at half their pressures isn't going to hurt anything. LMTVs Running 395 tires have a 55psi ctis system
