no power at start push button

after green switch is turned on no power at push button wire. to start i have to make the connection at K1 in fuse panel by pushing over to make contact to start. starts every time with that method.

Any help would be appreciated.

What year? The transmission controller has to close an interlock circuit to permit cranking. The box that does that is called a "VIM". They are different depending on year. You might want to look at the troubleshooting diagram in the technical manual, which is very helpful with this issue. The TM is available for download here on this site.

1998 but it turns over starts and runs just no power at the push switch...?

Check the continuity of the wire, Source to switch. And see if there is a break in the wire.
The advice from NDT, sounds the best way to check out the circuits..

With no power at the starter button I also had no oil light.

Found a ground wire that was disconnected that someone spliced in the wire of the Dill Blox D3B position 4 connected it and now have power at the starter button. I connected starter button and starts and runs now by a push of the button.

But now the oil light is on and stays on....?
