M101A1 Camper top

I have a 1968 M101A1 and I was thinking of trying to find a camper top from a truck bed to use as a top for my trailer. Has anyone done this before? I was hoping to use this to store my camping gear and use it as a small camper.

That's about the same year as mine. I've definitely used it to camp in, but I've never put a topper on it.

I am wanting to add a water tank, solar panel for lights and to power the water pump. I would like a top in case it starts to rain while camping.

If you go to the Expedition Portal website, they have a ton of threads on building camping trailers from ex military trailers. I am sure there is a thread where someone actually did exactly what your wanting to do. Much greater likelihood of finding an answer to this as there are a lot of highly modified military trailers over there. Its actually a pretty good site for building campers out of trailers. lots of detailed build threads.
