Looking for assistance in identifying this tow-bar. From the Tow Bar Smart Book this looks like the M113 bar to me.

Tagged NSN2540016676880 does not seem to match the model. https://www.parttarget.com/2540-01-667-6880_2540016676880_4026AS651-1.html
Does not match nominal length. Perhaps mis-tagged?

Consensus says?

~86” long
Adapter end I’d 2”
Adapter end pivot hole ~1 1/8” id

That is called a medium heavy bar. It's between a medium bar that you see and the super heavy heavy bar.

That bar can have feet that are called Y feet that can have 3/4" on one side for cucv/hmmwv. flip it over and it's got 1in pins for deuces and 5 tons. They also have Y feet that are 1in and 1.5in.

They are nice bars. Very long for easier turning. I liked using these when towing 3 trucks with 2 on tow bars.

I think I have one of these - probably don't need it - JIC anyone see's this posting and decides to go looking. Not really a "for sale" listing (which would mean this post is in the wrong place) - thought I'd short circuit things...

Much appreciated!
Which adapters should I be looking for that are compatible with the HMMWV/M998?

I gather it’s:
Clevis NSN: 5340‐01‐046‐ 4770
Which has 3/4 and 1” pins?

I would love to pick one up for my CUCV. Where in NY are you? I'll be visiting family in Elmira the weekend of 09/18.

Yes, I agree it is probably overkill but that it what the tow points on the CUCV was designed for. It uses 1" pins and none of the consumer tow bars go that big.
