When I had a conversation with the dealership and the Porsche service center, they said a replacement sticker could be ordered.Do you guys know if the sticker can be re-placed? I don't want to be dealing with this every time I need to access the sticker for something
Someone in CA was successful in registration, but I have no links or details. Check with MV groups in your state. I have one of my Itvees in CA, but my residency is WA, so no problems for me there. In WA, there is a little-known exemption for "military tactical vehicles" that permits registration. As we use many of CA's vehicle guidelines here, you may be lucky enough to have something similar (or different) in your state. Worth checking, perhaps.Has anybody here able to get a smog sticker for the motor? I can't register it in California without one.. Unless someone knows a trick..

If I had the previous model that didn't have the hatch sticker - I would literally just buy a replacement engine panel one and stick it on the inside of the hatch. They will never know, because they never knew where the original was supposed to be.
It's incredible to me (but not surprising) that the CA DMV and SMOG are completely reliant on the data on a sticker to verify your car that could easily be replaced (or falsified). Why they don't have the handful of engine codes that match this VIN on file (or another way to verify it) - AND that it's up to you and this sticker is mind numbing bureaucracy and enforcement theatre. Can literally pull all the engine data from the computer coded to the VIN number, but NO... where is your sticker?! Okay done with rant.
