Someones going to steel this truck ! And if they know how to work on A1s even more so ! You watch the no start will be something simple and probably drive it rite out the gates at the salvage yard its sitting in at hoptown you dont have to go on base to get it and if your building a 6x6 camper there is so so much hard work already done for you .All you have to do is take a few days to sit down and draw out a mock interior that will work with the folding floors to get the most use of the floor space

If the one you mention that hit the overpass is tan, then I've been poking around that one. Such a shame, they reeeeally messed up the box and a bunch of other stuff on it. Look like it was in great shape before that happened. :(

Cheers

Speaking of hens teeth...

The house across from mine became a rental two years ago. Nice guys from San Antonio who transferred to corpus moved in. Father, two sons (one ex-Army on Marine). All hard working dudes. When the pandemic hit full swing, they got a chicken at the bequest of one of the guy's son. Makes since when groceries were hard to find at times.

-flash forward-

I had cut some brush in the backyard after the freeze last winter. I'd been tossing it into one of my trailers with the intent of eventually going to the beach to have a bonfire. I don't move that trailer typically because it's missing some air brake parts, but I have a jake brake and no issue moving if I 'm so inclined.

Last week a buddy ("Olaf make fire" from my FB days) sent me a flyer for a Halloween party at the beach. So I took the trailer out Thursday and dropped it at base camp so they could burn the brush and use as a DJ stage. I would retrieve it Sunday (today).

So this morning I get out there to do some fishing and fetch the trailer and find this.

Yeah, that's my neighbor's hen. Seems she stowed away on the trailer. It had been quite the conversation piece out there for four days but no one thought to call me.

What was funny was that when I took the trailer out there, I spent the day down the beach a few miles. The bird was laying low the whole time I guess. Two stops later it was at the party.

That bird has seen some shit.

I know the people partying out there and trust me....that bird has seen some shit.

After some strategic towel waving I was able to herd the bird up the stairs and into the back of my truck and return it to the owners (who thought a hawk had gotten it).

And what did you do to the chicken? While at the beach all alone ? In the dark ? Which story would be more horrific ? If the bird could speak ! What she had seen your friends do ? Or what she saw you do to her in your truck?
