.After having the front axle torn apart at least twice prior for more serious issues, I finally replaced the worn king pin bushings.
The lunacy of not doing such an easy job with obvious drivability benefits isn't lost on me.
They were near the top of my short "annoyance" list that I'm forcing myself to address.

The elves have been on strike ever since I bought the truck it would seem.
You mean that your truck doesn't have a bunch of elves that repair it over night? I guess the part that is finally starting to happen for me now is that at least I am fixing what needs to be fixed - rather than finding two more things that are seemingly more important than what I planned to repair.
Big plus is a nice garage to work in.
Very nice indeed!
I've probably said it before, but I don't know what I would do without my shop.@92ramaro . Garage. Concrete floor. I bet you even have, like, fancy doors that close. Maybe even a heater. ***staring at the empty spot where I would have built a nice small shop if the City let me***
A shop, heater, doors AND a lift?!?!?!The elves have been on strike ever since I bought the truck it would seem
I've probably said it before, but I don't know what I would do without my shop.
"Perpetually grateful" best describes my luck in finding and being able to purchase the place almost 4 years ago now.

.I have a 40x44x14 garage with concrete heat but only 14k 4 post lift unfortunately not heavy enough to lift the A3 wish I could have seen the future would have bought a bigger one
Plywood and cardboard? You're lucky, I have grass and dirt to lie on and if I am lucky I can find some scrap wood for the jack..
Yeah, mine is raw grass in the back of the building - and when I get to work out front - I upgrade to ground asphalt. Either way, plywood under the floor jack is required and cardboard to lay on...
If I had a garage like this, I would living in it instead of the house, however, my wife would not go for it or I would lose it in the divorce settlement.I have a 40x44x14 garage with concrete heat but only 14k 4 post lift unfortunately not heavy enough to lift the A3 wish I could have seen the future would have bought a bigger one
My Summer driver/time capsule experiment I got back in 2016.You have a panther, too?
One more shot for perspective. (regrettably has the wrong hobby pictured but better shows the shop/ un-insulated back half of the barn)Looking at the picture of your shop, I thought I died and went to Heaven.
To be honest, my original plan when I found the place a few years ago was to live in the barn until I could get the dilapidated house more suitable for human life. The time table on that plan was mentally reduced by 85% within minutes of meeting a special girl around the same time.If I had a garage like this, I would living in it instead of the house, however, my wife would not go for it or I would lose it in the divorce settlement.
