Computer or radio dash mount

from what Ive seen on prices folk sell these for.... waste of time to get a military one... especially since the power supply is useless for the computer you will likely put on there. Get a new one.... or a used one from say a commercial truck, police car, ambulance.... from ebay orrr??
Yeah.... but I did like the one pictures as it look like total beef, and not some cheap plastic crap. It's the only one I've seen to date that's made to bolt to a flat dash, whereas most other mounts are made to mount to the floor using one of the seat bolts.

As for the power supply... I wonder what it's doing? Turning 12 or 24 volts DC into what I wonder? A guy might find a use for it.

I have a few of the power supplies. I don't think they are a converter. I think thay are just 24v all arround as the Blue Force tracker or its predecessor MTS is strictly a military unit and I suspect only 24v. Probably has a filter for clean power but that is just a swag. They have a fancy battle switch with cover on/off switch and cannon plugs. I have not done anything with it as I picked up a mount and power supply with cabling when all the M939's were being scrapped by me. On the m939 it also does mount flat on the dash. If you need measurements to see if a specific laptop will fit, I can check mine?

I'd love to know if one could be easily modified to hold a MacBook. I don't think it would fit inside the cage like whatever the military was using, but maybe with some hacking and cutting, end up with a flat bottom section and just velcro a MacBook on there. I'd love to have something better than a tablet for navigation, and infotainment.

These are also typically platform specific, IE: only a specific laptop or tablet is going to fit…
Yes. While looking at the better pics of the computer platform, it looks like it was designed for a computer with a separate screen. Or maybe this was for a keyboard and screen, and the "power supply" was really the CPU.

If I recall correctly the Screen and the cpu are one piece and a separate keyboard. Mine is the same as the pics except it is not a floor mount with pedestal. It has a U shaped bracket to fit the m939 dash by the grab handle. From what I remember pulling the cables on scrap trucks, I think the power supply also provides power to the big square GPS atenna/receiver.
