Am seeking a replacement, or just the intake spool, or at least learn the make/model of this thing.. Air filter hardware damaged the 1st set of fins.. There are no markings, stamping, no tag, nothing.. Was on a late-90's-2000's 24V 5.9 cummins in a specialty commercial application, and am going to try to retrofit the engine into a Curtis-Wright M35. .. It is of the style where the intake and exhaust sides can be rotated and postioned where you need them to be, and I need it to be as such for the application. . thx

I believe you mean to say the engine should have an HX35? ,, This one is not a Holset turbo , looks nothing like the HX35;'s I see online... this one has a sectional intake housing that is moveable when you loosen 8 bolts, I believe most holsets have a 1-piece intake

Then take a better picture of it overall.

HX35s and 50s can have that bolt band type just like HT3Bs have it but can have the band clamp as well if you swap the inlet housings

What number Is on the inlet snail. It has something casted into it

Yes I saw the kind with the clamp band but not any Holsets with 8 bolts, and this one doesn't have a band under the bolts, only flat retainers. Am not saying there are none, but looking at hundreds of turbo pics was making me bonkers so I resorted to asking around. As mentioned, there are no numbers, no emboss, no tag, nothing anywhere. I removed the entire manifold just to be able to find markings on the turbo .. The turbo was inaccessible to come out by itself, but there was just enough room to pull back the exhaust and change the impeller in-place. A query I posted yesterday on a cummins forum has yielded a 99.9% match, Borg Warner S300-series, or a no-name knockoff I learned about today, a Diesel Power Source-built turbo (no markings) they list for this engine.. At least now I am getting somewhere with the mystery .. Thanks much for your input
