MEP1040 warning code

I am thinking about purchasing an MEP 1040 from a local guy. The control panel screen reads:
  • Fault : 1433 local E-Stop
  • warning 365 (if could be 366 the photo is super blurry) maintenance item is active
  • Genset Mode : Emergency Stop

I scoured through a few manuals but I was not able to find these items. old bad eyes haha

are these three codes because someone used the emergency stop ?

The warning maintenance notice item - is what I am most curious about.

The maintenance items are warnings about service intervals typically. You have to go into the screen controls and clear them one at a time. The other two faults are probably tied together with the E stop being activated (the screen doesnt shut off, like on an MEP where the whole set goes dead on the DC side).

Thank you very much okay got it - 2 of those don’t seem like major issues .

is this a big issue with the screen, is there a remedy for that?

maybe because he used a 24 V jumper to show me the panel and hours

The faults will stay on until you clear them. So say you change voltage when it is in the off position, when you turn the set on it will show a warning that the voltage setting was changed. Hit the clear fault button and good to go

The panel where the radiator flow tank is has a circuit disconnect just inside the hinge of the door. Have you bought this machine yet? or read the TM's.

I have not purchased the 1040 . I want to get as much feedback - from SS - on this fault and warning

I briefly scoured thru the TM - but with cataract and old eyes 👀- it’s hard to stay focused inside that TM.

so I decided to ask for help . To see if these issues Are major and / or easily fixable - before I make a decision.

seems like they are pretty Standard, if I am interpreting these comments correctly.

You need to pull it out. And push the reset fault button, and start it up.

The same thing happens to a MEP-802/3 The unit doesn't do anything when the emergency stop button is pushed in. The AMMPS unit at least tell you.

AMMPS Units
They have a built in maintenance log and schedule. Say the unit has 110 hours on it, and no one cleared the initial "100 hour OIL and Filter Change" and you are at 110 hours... It just is showing you there is maintenance to be done. It has a huge list and time frames for maint. items.

Big RED Button = Emergency STOP = Not actually the best way to shut the unit down. In a emergency, yes.

DCS = Digital Control System
On a normal shutdown, the screen will shut off automatically. It even has a countdown timer showing time to off.

The AMMPS are just like MEPS with a 3 way switch, (dead crank - OFF-normal)

TOTALY understand that haha ok , this answers all my questions, concerns and suspicions - of it being linked to the emergency stop .

perfect answer ! I really appreciate you clarifying that for me. With that being said, I probably will make the purchase - New to the 1040 , owned many 803a’s .
