Have an mep 802a that shows correct voltage on the output terminals but does not read on the ac voltmeter.
have replaced the voltmeter with one known to be good. No change. Replaced the AM-VM transfer switch with one known to be good. No reading.
The frequency meter is working. Could it be the AC voltage reconnection switch?
ideas anyone?

Did the sets voltmeter ever work for you?
What's the AC voltage at the convenience outlet?
What's the voltage across the L1 L3 lugs with the contactor closed?
With the AM-VM set to the 3 o'clock position it's supposed to read 240 volts if phase/voltage reconnection switch is set to 120/240V 1 Phase.

With the AM-VM set to the 3 o'clock position it's supposed to read 240 volts if phase/voltage reconnection switch is set to 120/240V 1 Phase.
The volt meter would read the 120 volt position when l first brought it home. Never the 240.
simce then it won’t read on any setting.
convenience outlet reads 125 to 130 volt. Have wired it to a 50 amp rv plug and it reads 240 on the hand held meter but not n the
unit meter. The l3 and l1 read 120 each and 240 on my panel after wiring it.
have replaced the volt meter. Still no reading.

For starters you may want to inspect the pins on the P6 / J6 connectors for corrosion. The N, L1, L2 & L3 signals come thru those connectors. Specifically pins 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 & 18.

Here are the paths for L0, L1, L2 & L3 from S8 to S6 the AM-VM switch
S8 L0 ------ TB4-4------P6-13 & 14------J6-13 & 14------TB5-3&4-------S6-24
S8 L1------ P6-18-------J6-18------TB5-23------S6-18
S8 L2 ------ P6-17------J6-17------TB5-24------S6-20
S8 L3 ------TB4-2------P6-15 & 16------J6-15 & 16------TB5-5&6------S6-14

The AC voltmeter is connected to S6 terminals 15 & 32
