ASR-85 Crash Boat burned up at Sacramento CA

Did you guys spot this in your doom scroll feed, news media described a "85 foot former military boat" caught fire and burned stubbornly and released hazmat on the Sacramento River. Sadly on closer examination of the photos, this is or was a 85' WWII crash rescue boat from WWII used to rescue downed pilots. Looks like it will sink at the moorings. Boat is wood, very fast with twin Packard PT boat V-12's. Sad day.

That is a shame, I have bee aboard the P-520 for the last week touring Chesapeake Bay. P-520.org
