Good Day All;

Have a general question and as ever really appreciate any response. Is it safe/ok to hook i.e wire up a compressor (3Phase, 26Amp , 9600W) directly to the 804A terminal i.e L1-L3 , G, N ?? OR is it advisable to go via a power distribution panel with 30amp circuit breakers? The 804A is rated as pushing out 52Amps so not sure if it will fry the compressors control circuit if it is wired directly to the L1-L3 terminals.
Blessings!

To add, the generator will not "push" more power than the load demands (assuming the voltage output of the generator and the voltage input on the load is the same). No worries there.

Where the problem comes in is with current available to the compressor in the event something goes wrong. The wire, switches, and connectors in the compressor are going to be sized for an expected amount of available power. In the case where something goes wrong inside the compressor those items are supposed to be able to carry the power generated by fault to give the breaker time to react. Not putting the correct breaker between the generator and compressor can overwhelm those items. This can lead to a fire or electrical explosion.
