Good morning,

Just wanted to reach out and introdude myself. I live in Upstate NY. Served in the Marines in mid 1990's. Just recently got an M1097A2 and I am in the process of converting it to a four door.

My HMMWV came from an Army reserve unit in Rhode Island, 103rd Field Artillery. Its a 2003, 6.5 (non turbo). I must say that it is in great condition. I changed the fluids and was amazed to see the transfer case DEXTRON was red as it should be. The batteries were old so I got new ones.

Well, I will put some pictures soon to show the conversion from 2 man crew to 4 man. I just got a cargo top as well and painting it 393 green.

Agreed! Kinda like me with a couple of Army trucks and being in the Navy. Funny how that works. Our little gray cruise ships just don't seem to show up at the auctions.

I recently picked up an M1097A2 with helmet top. Slightly different than my 1097R1. I love them both! Def wanna see pics!
