Odd turning up the fuel question

I have a m35a2 with an lds and I/p that didn’t come with a fdc. I went to adjust the fuel screw today and realized it is just a plug, so it appears, instead of a screw with lock nuts. Can I adjust it or what do I need to do? I changed the hydraulic head o rings awhile back because I was gaining oil. Ever since I haven’t built as much boost, started having hard hot restarts and now I’m having hard cold starts. Thought maybe the fuel screw backed off.

@rickdavis81 just mentioning that one wants an LDS that is a thick deck (TD lettering cast into the block near the data plate) as a candidate to really turn up the power.
The older regular blocks may not like the increased pressures and blow the head gasket or warp.

Also, a gauge for exhaust temperature is really a should-have so that the driver sees the temperatures the turbo is exposed to.
Guidance varies but EGT should stay under 1300 F.

thanks for the heads up. I installed a pyro and boost gauge already. I’ll check for the block stamping when I get a chance
