LMTV Cab will not go down

The individual valves unscrew and then you can remove the restrictor and clean it. See if that helps. The cab can fall with the valve removed if its up.
I swapped the suspension lower valve with the spare tire selector valve but nothing changes. When I pump it's locked up in either direction. Maybe try checking the bottom selection valve?

Edit: I see in the video the restrictor is deeper in the hole. If it is clogged will it cause this issue? I guess I don't fully understand how that valve works yet.

I know how to get the cab down fast but you wouldnt want to try it ! Be glad it doesnt just drop on you and crush you ! Once you get it figured out alway jack that cab all the way over past 180 degrees and brace it with something stout just for your own safety it sounds like overkill till one falls on ya !

Yea the fact you said it set for a while then started working speaks to air trapped in the cylinder. It will continue to do this till you clear that air. if it is working now, the easiest way to do this is to lower the tire, disconnect the rod end of the cylinder from the tire arm by removing that pin, and pivot the cylinder so the rod points straight up. Then retract the rod(tire raise position on the valve). DO NOT RETRACT THE ROD ALL THE WAY as you dont want to build high pressure on the rod end Of the cylinder. stop an inch short(should be able to see wear and dirt on the rod). then fully extend the rod. Any air in the rod end will be up at the top of the cylinder and be pushed out first and all the fluid will push it along thru all the hose past the valve. Do this a few times, allowing it to set at the near full retracted position for a minute or so to allow any air to collect at the top to be pushed out first. Then reconnect the rod pin and you should be good…

Bottoming out the cylinder with trapped air is what causes this problem. when you bottom out the rod with the tire crane all the way up, the pressure peaks to maximum and the trapped air compresses and holds this pressure. When you switch the valve from the raise position i think the valve can provide a split second of high flow before the restricted orifice comes into play. That is enough to lock the safety check in the cylinder, and the pressure stored in the air holds the safety check-ball against its seat until the pressure leaks away and the springs can once again center the ball…

I was going to suggest calling our LMTV Cab lowering expert, Chucky, but he beat me to it.

LOL all you have to do is unscrew the 1 1/2 nut on the cab latch valve till the fluid shoots out and she comes on down in a milasecond easy peasy ! The really sloooow part is the recovery and hospital bills !

I was able to trip mine fairly easily with the manual control lever on the hand pump before i put in the limiter and ultimately the adjustable flow control valve. The safety would lock if I went over more than about 1/2 of the control lever travel...

Only thing i KNOW is if you want to test it get about 4 feet of extentions and a 1 1/2 in socket and stand out from under the cab and unscrew that nut and BLAM shes down !
