You're making it more difficult than it needs to be. But you do you.

The spring mount wraps around the frame rail. It's not going anywhere. And not likely to move much.

I can’t see mine since my new condenser is in the way. I was mentally envisioning an L shaped perch, but it sounds like from your comment it is a U shaped perch.

Is there anything keeping the bolt heads from spinning or backing out?

It's a two-piece U shaped spring shackle mount. Not sure if the bolt heads are captured but the weight of the components will definitely keep them from spinning. I wouldn't take *all* the weight off - just support the truck with less of it's weight on that wheel. Spin them off with an impact and hopefully the cab ram mount just slides off.

I dont get out much but if the cylinder that raises the cab isnt bolted to the piece your replacing why would it have any weight on it or am i missing something ? My only concern is that you have that cab braced GOOOOOOODD or they might find you nailed to the shop floor with the cylinder drove thru you ! If the cab came down before you attach the cylinder to the mount !

I have a roof rack, headache rack, some other modifications, full interior with lots of sound deadening….. yes, a bit mor weight.

The issue is the bracket bent and pried the shank off.

I safetied the cab with a ratchet strap, and that alone could move the cab back….. but I need Chucky to try to catch it…. So I did not pull very much.

In an effort to keep Chucky safe, I have come up with a piece of PPE, and need him to send me his address in a PM.

This is the 2nd year so its getting its feet on the ground and will be THE RALLY to go to in my opinion ! I think it will turn into a monster once everyone comes to check it one time last year we had a whole nest of members come all the way from south TX and what is it like 75000 acres of trails from mild to nasty /rv park /campsites/ cabins/ or get a hotel in Oakridge 10 min away which is basically west knoxville ! I really enjoyed myself last year and will again this year ! And great vendors i brought a pile of stuff home last time .
