Hi All, I have a 1984 CUCV with no brake lights. Tail lights work fine. I've made sure I have a good ground.
Any ideas of where to check?
Thanks

There is a fuse just for the brake lights. That brake light circuit is part of the same circuit that the lighting system overheats and melts the 30-amp fuse halfway up on the right side of the fuse box. That could be the problem. And the pressure switch on top of the pedal. Check it out and report back. Good Luck.
Hey All. I got laid up and just now getting back to this. I've confirmed the 30 amp fuse is good. Although the 10 amp fuse right above that was bad so I replaced it. Getting to the brake switch was difficult but what I was able to do was get it disconnected. I assumed the switch makes a short when pushing in on the pedal so I but a paperclip into the wire harness and still no brake lights. I've also but in a trailer inline device on the left light assembly. With the tail light on I have 1 led light showing. When I try the brakes that doesn't change. When I turn the tail lights off I still get no brake lights. What should I look at next? Thanks
