Ok so the older round "cats-eye" type light like what would be found on an M37 or M101A1 screw size is 10-24 x 1" length (measured under head)

the newer plastic light in the style i'm using is also 10-24

They are listed on that page @ McMaster

But the ones I'm looking for are 12-24 X 1 3/8 and are not listed. So the hunt continues, at least I have the proper name to help in the search

Call McMaster and tell them the size that you're looking for. They pretty much have the best customer service on the web in addition to the best website for buying hardware. They're able to get more items than are listed they just list the most popular ones. Technically there isn't anything that McMaster-Carr can't sell you even if it's not something they have ever sold. Plenty of times I've asked them if they had an odd size of something that was skipped in their list of sizes that was shown and they said yes that's available as well and I was able to purchase it it just takes a little bit longer than the ones listed. And when you call them you will immediately get a person and never get an answering system or a robot voice.
