IssPro is asking me to demo/beta test their new GPS speedometer. It's a 3-3/8" form factor and has 80, 100, 120 ranges. I bought 3 gauges (tach & 2 voltmeters) from them earlier in the year so they offered me to test this. I'm using a gps unit from
MotorMeterRacing at present and it's 'ok' but really meant for marine apps. I'll post pics once Iss sends me the demo unit.

Quick Q.

The motometer or ISSPro ... do either or both use a remote GPS antenna?

I have an unbranded unit which I am very hesitant to install since I'm near sure my deuce's 1/8 steel dash will block anything resembling a sattelite signal.

Why would you want a GPS speedo? The ECM outputs a pulse per mile signal.....

I am considering this (which does have GPS as well):

I have it now bc the 3.07 gear change that MME did, was not accompanied by an appropriate change in the ECM. So the original speedo was off by about +10%. Surprise! They didn't do it right obviously. Then it got way worse when I added the ECO's lol.

Now With your reprogram, once I put 3.90s back, the old speedo should be good. However, I do kinda like the COG feature for off roading out here where there's no trail. So I'm torn.

Also, how much error is introduced in the pulse per mile speedo when we Air down CTIS a lot?

depends on how much slippage/wheel spin you have:). in the end the same amount of tread covers the same distance over the ground, there is just more of it in contact with the earth at any given time at a lower pressure...

What is Isspro asking for one of those jewels?

They have not revealed their pricing as yet. Apparently they're sending me a demo unit before they finalize the design.
