My Son took Sarge to homecoming last night. Nearing 10,000 miles and recently installed new tires. Next we will have a 700R4 built so it can cruise the highway comfortably and add air conditioning. Other than that it'll stay stock. Hard to believe at one time he was even with the front bumper.1000006549.jpg

This thread has a better plot than any movie I've seen for awhile. It's not a truck. It's an heirloom. How are you planning on doing the AC? Seems like all the kits are dried up and AFAIK civvy parts don't do the trick.

Any yearly update on the m1028? I recently bought a nice m1028 from a local private museum in northern virginia! I remember reading this thread years and years ago when I was a teenager.... I'm now 27. I have always had love for cucv's and actually owned one as my first vehicle. And my most recent purchase reignited my love for these trucks! Glad to see you still have it and it's still stock ;)

Sarge is fine. He held gate guard duty on Thanksgiving and the tailgate makes an awesome table. He will be a 4 speed truck soon and he's now carrying a 20 something year old John Deere tag that was originally on my 97 Silverado. My Wife initially put it on her new truck but I wanted her to have one not so weathered. It almost looks perfect around here.
