As title states, I bought a couple of headlight adjusters off of Rockauto, photos included, hoping they would fight right into my M1008, but not so surprisingly they don’t fit. I’ll include picture of the headlight bucket as well as the new adjuster so you can help me figure out with they messed with the bucket itself or if it’s normal and civvy adjuster are, for some reason, not compatible with military assemblies.
If that’s the case, I’d really love having the correct part number and/or links to find the correct adjusters.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Leo

Civilian screws are what you need. My problem has always been the plastic clip in thread inserts. They don’t let the screws hold the light in place. Putting a nut and flat washer on the engine side of the adjuster bolt works wonders. Yes, you will have to use two hands to adjust your lights. But, they won’t move again until you want them to.

Do you happen to know of any shop in europe? I'm in Italy and not having to pay customs and a ton of shipping would come in handy
You could look up the part number in the tm and see if there are any near you. I know LMC sells them...maybe try their part number.

It took me 2 min. to find these. There are many more. German Ebay has tons of stuff. You need to just look. There are lots of people here in Europe who have CUCV parts.

I was gonna suggest LMC, but others have.

I had an '85 1 ton, single rectangle headlights, Dorman and the likes, no fit. LMC was the only ones I found that worked.

I kinda miss that truck. 454 that put 440 to the rear wheels. Would pull 10k up Cajon pass at 50 mph.

Yes I know those shops, and they do have lots of CUCV/military stuff, only problem is that they have no idea what they are selling and more often than not they sent me the wrong stuff. Plus the ridiculous shipping costs. Sometimes even higher than getting stuff shipped overseas.
