Currently a work in progress, just need to get the tanks strapped down to the bed and wire up the pump unit.
I spent uncountable hours with those , about 3 years worth fueling tracks and M48's, M60's etc... The windup rope-start pumps were a pain to start sometimes, but when they failed to start we could at least gravity/siphon the product , which was real slow, but at least fuel was flowing while you fussed with the pump motor.. You have a beautiful truck, even with 3 missing straps .. My armor BN's T&P's were late-50's IHC gassers (hauling diesel)
Here's a pic of one of my men from 1984 or so, a couple years after I got promoted to other (easier) things .. By then one of the gasser T&P's had been retired and this M54A1 took its place .. He wanted one of the ones with a Mack so i pulled some strings to move the T&P outfit to this particular truck .. He was a good friend and former air force MP in West Germany , a good driver, I groomed him to take over BN heavy vehicle driver testing/licensing before I left , and he went on to retire as a state CDL examiner.. His dad was an OTR commercial driver until retirement .. And yes, those are tank tracks .. At least that day we weren't knee-deep in mud
