Debating a quick restore on my M332 trailer that I purchased from Scrounger before he passed. After a couple years trying to sell it as-is, the only people who have shown interest in it in the condition it's in are landscapers (who will be hating life after they realize it's too heavy for its small size as it can't haul much in the way of mowers, etc. and the brakes aren't compatible with anything they drive), or people offering so little money that I am sure they are scrappers that are just gonna cut it up.

Then I remembered, hey - I'm into restoring military vehicles, maybe I can give it a quick refurb, make it nicer. I might just keep it after that, or maybe find someone who would really appreciate it for what it is. Just something quick - replace the data plates and gladhands, service the brakes. Quick strip/sand/prime/paint. Should only take me a couple weekends, tops, and the finished product would be a lot better for me or someone else.

Debating the paint scheme, I'm leaning toward just simple Vietnam-era 24087 semi gloss with the appropriate stencils or decals. The pics below are - top: my trailer as it sits, and bottom: a pic I found off the web of a 24087-painted M332. Should I go this route, or repaint with the more modern 3-color NATO that it was wearing before it started peeling and rusting?

Any opinions are appreciated.View attachment 941167View attachment 941168

Well... It almost needs to be painted to match the towing vehicle. Not really though because I see desert painted trucks pulling woodland painted trailers. Especially in the Reserve Units around here... That green sure looks good to me
