The above engine shots are from the 2 different MV's I purchased.

Here are the pictures of the M109A3's in Fort Drum.

I am sure to have many more questions.
Thanks,;-)

Northeast Guys

I plan on towbaring one with the other pulling.

Does any of the North people have a bar I could purchase or borrow?

I would drive to pickup it up prior to my recovery date.

Thanks,:driver:

I have a tow bar you could borrow. I live in Sennett, NY, about 10 minutes from Exit 40 (Weedsport-Auburn) of I-90. It would cost you about an hour and 20 minutes to detour here and get back to I-81.

I will be picking up badgeboy16's MKT in a week or so. If you PM me the lot numbers, I'll give them a good looking over.

If you think you want help on the pick up day, give me some notice. I'm self employed. The boss can't fire me for taking time off, he can only make me work crazy hours to catch up. Also, doghead live about 40 minutes from Drum and may be willing to help.

All of those M109s belonged to the Guard maintenance unit. All drove in except the the one listed as "does not start" All appeared to be in good shape. Alphadeuce and jfcca spent a good chunk of last Monday inspecting those trucks. A PM might get specific info. They each bought one.

Towing one deuce with another could be done. Do not expect to go very fast. There have been a number of threads regarding interconnecting the brakes and lights from a towing M35 to a towed one. Maybe someone will chime in with a link.

Remember, without interconnecting the brakes, you won't stop in an emergency. Nothing in the MV business is worth dying for.

PM me if you need anything.

Good luck.

Lance

LDS is a 5 ton engine. Usually when the Govt uses one in a deuce they detune it somewhat but it all depends on the mechanic
