this might be a re-post, but this vid shows some of the capability of the russian Zil-29061 (or at least that what they call it in the vid)

its that one with the big horizontal screws on both sides, rather than tires. pretty interesting

Actually Bjorn, surprisingly enough they apparently were rather pathetic in sand. I would have thought it would plow ahead, but on tests it just tended to throw sand everywhere and barely move.

It is not ZIL and not 1992. This is PTS-M. Their production stoped in 1985-ish, newer version is PTS-2 a bit bigger, more power and few bells and wissssels.
