I've seen the silly things go for as much as $75.00 on fleaBay. Keep an eye out, I know you can find them cheaper than that.

I made my own 2-step and it folds up from my winch bumper and has a wire catch that hangs from a hole on the front fender brace to hold it in the upright posistion. Most folks who have seen it think it is OD and want to know where I got it. They like the longer length with two steps for us older duffers who have a hard time throwing a leg up as high as you need to for the one step.

I saw one of these folding steps on Mike's truck at the '07 GA Rally and thought I had to have one. I got sticker shock and decided to wait. My last truck came with one from GL. It was one of the reasons I wanted that truck actually. Now that I have to live with it, I have thought about taking it off.
It rattles in either postion, it really isn't as stable as you would think, by the time you get your foot that low, you might as well have just jumped on down and if you try using it while it is folded up from the fender side, it will bend.
That is with 9.00 tires. When I swap over to 11.00's, my view might change some. What I am trying to say is that I think tail gate steps on the front bumper are probably a better choice.

I bought both of mine on ebay for about $30 shipped-that's all I'd be willing to pay. If you are a real stickler for correctness/originality you will find that about half of the ones out there are missing their correct pin/chain setup to keep them locked in place and I have found no suitable replacement in terms of appearance.
I do like mine and would add them to all my trucks, but the prices on eBarf have been absurd.

I prefer the rear steps on the tailgate, unbolt them and attach them to the front of your truck instead. I got mine from TNJ Murray for $5 each, I just had to go there and take them off a junker truck myself.

i just use my chain from my winch i pull it down to where every i need it then set the winch lock i have a non foldable step but can reach it with the bigger tires .i wouldnt think youd want to give more than 40bucks for one since they would be so easy to make

I have an idea of building a 2 step design where the top step is fixed and the 2nd step swivels so it can be tucked under the truck during travel. If I can build them for under $95 will you guys buy them? I think they would be perfect for you 5 ton guys! I know my 5 ton bumper is way up there.
