I found and bought this on ebay (commanders control panel from an M1A1) - a little green CARC paint and attach it to my radio shelf - voila... official status as a sci-fi nut!

Ahhh - because when you take my M1026 and put it together with my new M1A1 tank commander's control panel you have an even cooler M1026.

Now I have to figure out exactly what fun stuff to wire to the switches, lights, and controls on the panel. It can't just sit there taking up space!

I'm kicking around the idea of a marine halon fire suppression system under the hood and tied to the "engine fire" light... The possibilities are endless - anyone got any ideas?

Maybe a turret on your hmmwv...or at least a powered ring mount!
