Clinto, I used 1/4" x 1 1/2" flat bar to support the light to the mirror bracket. Just FYI.No, that's a good idea and I am going ot do the same when I mount mine.

Thanks Cordell, a little bit of planning went into it...maybe a six-pack or two.I love the lights and mounts. I like them out on the mirrors, they look good there and are very functional.
Thats the best kind of planning, also increases productivityThanks Cordell, a little bit of planning went into it...maybe a six-pack or two.
You did a great job erecting that project.
Thanks! Yes, they were in pretty sorry shape. I disassemled them completely, put them in the blast cabinet, primed and painted. You weren't supposed to notice the shop, it's a friggin' mess.Nice job on the lights--is the first pic how they came from ebay? In the other pics, the paint looks new. If so, you did a heckuva paint job! Nice work space, too.
I'll probably go through the sheet metal just above the floor vent...like Armada did. That ought to keep the wiring up and out of the way and under the dash. I have a couple of mil-spec switches and instrument lights that I'll use to indicate if they are on or off. I'll post the photos when I get that done. Thanks! So where are you gonna plug them into?
Looks good!
I think I gave $60 for the pair, last year. I'd like to find another set and sell to NeilHendrix so I won't have anything up on him.Alternately, you can mount them on a cross bar, a muffler shop made mine. Can't believe how costly they are now, got two for $50 about ten years ago.
I remember that thread...that's what inspired me to mount mine. I need a couple of those cool "floodlights" dash tags though. Here's what I did with mine, they came off an old bridge truck..... I mean, I found them in the woods......

Kendelrio, those rear mounted lights are great medicine for the driver following with brights on....
I can find data plates that say "accessory", but none that say floodlight. Still looking.Ok Someone track down a source for Ken's dash plates. I'm adding a similar set up to my M38a1 and really want that plate!!!!
