Hey guys, my name is Drew and thankfully found this forum!
Quick Intro:
I have been an avid "airsofter" since I was in the second grade, and have been playing every weekend for years. Some many months ago, I got a 91 suburban for about 1400 bucks, then we tore everything off the outside and "Krylon'd the beast" Essentially a mock/clone CUCV. We use it for games and transport about 5-6 guys in the back.
Other than that, I was lucky enough to receive a Kawasaki mule 610 a few years ago, with the purpose of turning it into a "tank" Was always busy with school, and never had a trailer to pull it with.
Long story short, yesterday I traded it straight across for a 1967 Kaiser M35A2
The guy I got it from told me out of his fleet of M35's he picked a good engine, over a good exterior, because I had told him I planned on using it quite a bit. We shall see, but I can only hope it is in good shape.
While I am somewhat mechanically inclined, I do plan on taking it to a shop to do an overall checkup, and to replace all filters...which I need to order.
Exterior...I plan on redoing all the wood in the back, and I also want to get as much of the "top rust" off as possible before we throw a new coat of OD on it. Make her like new ASAP.
Question:
Driving it....went relatively well, until for some reason it died on me 3 times within about 5-10 minutes. Two times I was on the gas in 4th or 5th, and the other time the clutch was in. Now in between the 2nd and 3rd time, I felt she was about to die, and I tried pumping the gas, and then I felt the power again. Didnt work a minute or two after that.
- I would love to know if this is something I'm doing moronically on my part, or if its a simple fix somewhere.
I appreciate it in advance, and I have to say, after reading a couple of pages, it is nice to see a forum composed of mature responses. I am active on a few others, and a lurker on a lot more, but this seems like quite the place to go for MV's. Ill try my best to not ask a question which can be found on the other 100 pages of M35 topics...
Thanks!
-Drew
