either i failed to search properly or it just isnt posted, what would one expect to be set back if they could find an 814 for sale. i figure if wth 814, i can fit both my wheeling trucks in the back and not have to use a trailer which would be cool, but im definatly interested in a 5 ton in the near future, i was even considering a 817 and put say a 813 bed on it to making loading a vehicle somewhat easyer (least in my mind)..

so long story short, would should one expect to be set back for a

813, 814, and a 817

Like most things, you get what you pay for. I would expect to pay $3000-$7000 for an M814.
The 814 has a wheel-base of 215" & OAL of 373", the 813, WB 179" & OAL 301", the 817, WB 167" & OAL 289", all without winch.
I would not like to see a M817 and M813 chopped up to get 12 inches less wheel-base, or did you have some other reason to put the 813 bed on a 817 chassis?

Like Bulldog said, BKubu has one for sale. He had 2 for sale, but as of one week ago today, I bought one of 'em from him. Besides the expected surface rust here and there, it's a beauty.

Send Bruce Kubu a PM about his other 814 thats for sale.

greg i was talking about just removing the 817s dump box only and putting on a 813 bed on it, so i could tilt the bed to making loading and unloading a truck outa the back so i could use shorter ramps, i got 10ft ramps atm for loading a truck into the back of my deuce and it still scraps, i figure if i could tilt the bed up 1-3ft in the front i would never had to worry about that again. just throwing ideas out there.

and i may have to talk to bkubu, altho it does appear that he lives almost at the furthest point in the county away from me. talk about a long drive =/

im exploring some shipping options at the moment but i think its going to cost more for the shipping then the truck itself. if i wasnt a few thousand miles from you it wouldnt be so bad, but i think this one my just be out of my reach.

im just thinking out loud.. while a 814 would be the optimal set up i believe for me. but i didnt really think about parking either, i dont know how well my neighbors would like me if i parked a 814 in front of there house. all i have is street parking and the deuce seems to test there nerves. it appears that to get a 5ton i may have to part with my beloved deuce that when i look at it i still think, i cant believe i really own one these. that said, only if i could park the deuce in the back of the 814....
