395/85/20 Tires Wanted

Just like the title says, I am looking for some 395/85/20's for my deuce. I would prefer to pick up to save on shipping. I am in the Washington D.C. area.

What should I expect to pay?

This may or may not help you... But, if Berg Tire in Fayetteville, NC, has them, I can pick them up for you and get them as far north as Syria, VA, on either the second or third full weekend in October (I have to be at the familly farm anyway for their annual harvest festivals).
It doesn't put them at your door, but it puts them within a comfortable drive, or you might be able to get them relayed the rest of the way...

Since I am new AND slow...I am sure this has been covered many times before..are the 15.5's the same as the 395/85/20's? I know the 14.00 and 11.00's are the more narrow aspect tire...correct?

Your First Question ,No the 15.5 I think are call G20s ? they are smaller than the 395/58/20, by like 1" or 2 ".
and the 1400/20 is bigger than the 395/85/20 by 1.50" and they will not fit on a Deuce. they will touch in the rear and you can not turn them in the front with out doing so work .
second Question , your right , the 395s are 48"t-18"w / 1400s are 50"t-18.50w / 1100s are 43"t-10.50w and I think the 15.5s are 45"t-15.50w but do not hold me to it , I have only seen 1 or 2 sets,

Michelin XL 15.5/80R20 and Michelin XML 395/85R20 are the same size. 46.6-46.7 inches diameter, 15.4-15.5 inches wide. Both are 448 revolutions per mile. Primary differences are tread design and ply (XL are Load Range J and XML are Load Range G)..

Have you checked with Cranetruck? Last I heard, he has some tires he wasn't going to use(cant recall the size). They may be the size your after and he's in Va.

Direct from Michelin spec sheet:

15.5/80R20 XL = 46.6" Diameter, 15.5" Width

395/85R20 XML = 46.7" Diameter, 15.4" Width

14.00R20 XL = 49.4" Diameter, 14.7" Width

On a bobbed deuce with stock rims the 14.00's rub in the front on sharp turn.

On a bobbed deuce with beadlocks with a little offset you should be fine with 14.00's.

On a bobbed deuce with beadlocks or stock rims 395's should be fine.
