bobbed deuce with M105 bed

When bobbing a truck,I have read that some folks mark the frame where the centerline of the forward axle is, remove the suspension and reinstall the rear where it was originally located. This being done, the drive shaft length will remain the same. How does this line up when using the M105 box, as far as being centered in the wheel well? Anybody?

Thanks,
Matt

+5"

+5" is your friend... have the shaft retubed (~$150) and slide the axle back 5" to match. You will center just fine.

I moved my axle back 4 inches to line it up with the wheel well. I can also get your stock drive shaft completely rebuilt and lengthend for you for pretty reasonable. Just PM me if interested.

hmm good question i have seen some guys notch the bed to clear the cab mount and some guys just put the bed back futher to fix that problem so i think it would depend on how you mounted the bed:roll:

Measure from front of trailer to center line of wheel well and add 2". Use that measurement for finding the center line of the axle by measuring from cab mount back. Cut 39" off frame.
