how to identify LDS & LDT injection pumps

Can anybody tell me what the part numbers or markings are so I'll know whether I'm looking at one or the other?

If it wasn't dark and cold, I'd take a picture, but mine has a tag on it that says "LDS"

Oh, cool. I was told they were only labeled with part numbers.

LDS has the starter on the driver side, has a different style turbo (similiar to a whistler)but not always. Fuel Injector Pump should have a dataplate on it as well, designating it is an LDS.

Right. I just want to know what the part numbers on the data-plates are.

TM 9-2910-226-34, table 3-12 / 3-13 shows all the numbers of all IP parts.

The LDS will have the starter on the drivers side. Along with the large sump of the oil pan at the rear of the engine. The LDT will have the starter on the passenger side. And the large sump at the front.
