Bracket on MEP004A Identification

Hello Gents
I am sorry I cant just post a pic that would be so much easer.
Anyway when you stand in front of the M200A generator trailer the Lunette between your knees on the right fender about 16 inches where it starts to 22 inches where it ends aprox 6 to 8 inches wide there is a bracket with 2 wing nuts over a sliding plate there is a u shaped notch in the rearward facing side like a handle would go through this slot lines up with a bracket like you would use to hang a broom on a wall.
Is this for a sledge or something to drive ground rods?

I believe this is the piece you are talking about. I can't find any reference to what exactly it is, but maybe someone else can have a better idea now that there is a picture of it.

I too think it is for a sledge hammer to drive in the ground rods. But, like yours, mine has nothing but air in it!

8 lb sledge goes there, and on my gen trailer the slide hammer goes on the other side by the fuel cans

Do you have a pic of the slide hammer and how long is the handle on your sledge I have an 8lb hammer but the handle is to long to fit in the little clip type bracket and it gets jammed behind the parking brake housing?
