i am on the look out for a good M35A3 truck. the A2 as much as I love it just wont do it for me with the 5spd. But I so want the multifuel engine.

the woman is not sold on this monster at all. Not her idea of a good time. Well at least I wont have to worry about her driving it.. rofl

she was not so opposed to the hummer but they are $$$$ for me right now.

well it was great to drive one of these trucks today. I will have to think about it. now. The cab was a bit short for my long legs and I was looking at the wiper motor i am so tall.

Not sure about the clutch and my knee/back. long term.

I want one but this may not be the right truck for me. I will have to look at what else is out there. A crew cab would be good as it would give me more leg room.
You won't find any more leg room inside the A3, it's the same as the A2.

You might pay a lot more than you think- divorce is very expensive. Maybe get a pink one...

I know exactly what you mean. The less she wants to drive it, the more I want to own it....

So far she has killed two jeeps and a buick, now she has her eyes in my Chevy....

The big question is do you have a place to drive and store the deuce that is out of sight out of mind? Luckily my GF is close to graduating vet school so she loves big trucks. I'll admit that Governement Liquidation can be a hassle to deal with I won 3 auctions before the EUC got done right, not DRMOs fault (they were awesome to work with) it was always a mistake on GLs side. (By the way if you call DRMO when you're doing your EUC they only have like 2 ladies who do all the paperwork and if you're polite they will bend over backwards to help, one is married to retired military) Anyway, I got mine for $2,400 and the ones before that I won for less than $2k. Some places will let you roam the yard and drive them around the parking lot, others will be pricks and let you start it and maybe roll it forward and then back into the parking spot as they watch you like a hawk. Personally if you aren't in a hurry I'd try and visit the local auction site and see what the trucks look like write down a few good options and then bid, for the money saved you could buy an auto to put in it or anything else you want to do. Just my 2cents and good luck.

A friend of mine is 6'2" and has the same probs driving my M35A2. He's driven the M35A3 and prefers that to the A2... but I think his preferances are mostly affected by the Cat engine in the A3. You can change the seats in either of them for a better fit as well. People have put air ride seats in, bucket seat out of a car in, bench seats out of a pick-up in.. etc. A trip to the local salvage yard could change your seating experience for as little as $50. Depending on the seat, they are relatively easy to install too, particularly if you have some scrap iron, a drill, and hacksaw on hand, .... a welder doesn't hurt either.

i own a gasser and stand 6' even. looking for an auto will be hard. if you have any luck and find more than one at a good price hit me up. not much of a shifter either but i get use to it. the gasser is kind of easier to work on than the multi. but older than dirt. they do get expensive to fix. if you really need info for what ever truck you are buying. they sell cds on ebay that have all the avalible manuals that you can find on one to 2 cds. good luck:driver::cookoo::driver:
