New toolbox on M818

I believe I originally found the website here on SS. It fits like a glove. We bolted it to the existing fuel tank brackets. I'm going to leave it black. It matches the tires.

On another note...I have ordered a set of composite headache racks, troop seats and a front rack from Stephan Wood Products. They are en route as we speak. More on this later.

After a few passes with the pneumatic grinding wheel and wire wheel, We laid a fresh coat of primer to inhibit any rust from forming under the box. We shimmed out the fuel tank brackets to about 9" to give the mounting a little more rigidity. We drilled four 1/2" holes in the brackets and the toolbox floor. Using four 1/2" X 1 1/2" bolts, washers, lock washers, hex nuts and a little silicone caulk for sealing, we secured the box and the job was done.

I am thinking of mounting my pioneer tool rack on top and modifying the fuel tank straps for a little more support.
