Some trucks have the headlight in the lower holes, with the BO drive light above, others have the lights in the upper holes with the BO driving light below.

Any idea why? Is it an early/late thing?

Also, I saw an M35 with a very wierd panel. It had the Tach and speed separated by the gas gauge. Is this an early or late thing?

Here is the video of the gauges:

I heard from a reliable source that once upon a time, they would put the headlights on the top for the winch trucks,or on the bottom for non winch trucks. I thought about puting headlights on the top and bottom at the same time!8)

That was the original reason for the upper and lower mounting positions. It also seems that at some point, I'm guessing about 1970, they just started using the upper position only, whether or not the truck had a winch.

Here's another interesting thing, the grills are the same. The one bar just inverts and swaps sides.

The Dueces with the lower headlights are the early Deuce and early headlight locations and were later repositioned to the upper spot on the later models!! As for the gas in the middle of the Speedo and the Tach might be from the early gas model of Deuce setup and it was never changed to the A2 style dash in later models.
